Working with a luxury brand like BMW is a pleasure and an opportunity to demonstrate the power or search engine marketing and organic search to grow a business. In the case of Circle BMW, their New Jersey dealership has become a national source for BMW information and sales. Specifically, their websites that highlight the BMW 128i, BMW 135i and the BMW X5 are all highly ranked on all major search engines.
Assisting Circle BMW with search marketing required us to get a good understanding of the competitive landscape with car dealers and car advertising on the web. Once we completed our study, we hit the ground with a marketing plan that has become so successful that their are getting too many leads into their business.
Google Ranking Results
Circle BMW wanted to dominate local search and also to be a player in national searches since used cars can be sold to anyone in the United States. The following search engine rankings were measured from Google and were last taken on August 26, 2007.
The best possible organic listing in Google is the first page of search results, Listing 1. For this table, we will call this the "Top Position". We are only showing a few of the optimized search phrases due to space limitations and to keep our larger strategy confidential.

Coming projects? We are doing some testing on the BMW 120d, which is a diesel powered member of the 1 Series lineup that is available in Europe. We are also looking into the marketing opportunities for the 2010 BMW X1, which is still a rumor.

Initial Website Analysis
Originally Circle BMW had one website for their business. It had dozens of great content pages but the pages were not formatted for search engine visibility. We worked with their web developer to update the 100+ pages of the website. We also redesigned the website to take advantage of Dynamic Web Templates and CSS architecture.

Scope of Work
Once we updated the main website to include proper search marketing tags and designs, their website significantly jumped higher in organic search. The owner was sp pleased with our work that we co-developed a number of additional websites to market the cars that they sell.

Summary
The lead flow into their dealership from the Internet marketing plan that we developed has increased to the point that Circle BMW needed to hire an addition staff member to their Internet team.
