Modular Homes - Case Study Details
Modular Home Construction
On January 10, 2008 we started working on the website design for Modular Homes Inc. The flash plug-ins were designed by a third party contractor hired by the company based on our specifications. We were presented with a one page template and we took the ball and ran with it. We have been developing new content each week for the site and we look forward to this new marketing challenge.
This post started on January 17, 2008 and obviously too soon to have any search engine results but I will state the goals and then post the progress of the site over the coming months to show you how the SERP changes over time.
Going Live
The website was completed by March 1, 2008 and the press release and Internet Marketing campaign has started. The website gained an additional emphasis on "GREEN" modular home construction and their LEED certification. In a few more weeks we will post an update on the natural rankings the website has achieved.
Marketing While Site is Indexed
While we wait for Google and Yahoo to index the site, we created a marketing campaign using press releases, blog postings, directory registrations and partner website articles. The initial work has been successful with our press releases showing up on Google Page one for the terms our client as ked to target: Some of which are:

- Morris County Modular Homes
- NJ Green Modular Homes
- LEED Certified Modular Homes
- Morris County Modular Homes Direct
- Somerset County Modular Homes Direct
- NJ Modular Homes Direct
In most cases, we have 2-3 press releases or articles on Google Page One for each of the search phrases.

Modular Homes Inc. is operated by subject matter expert, David Cooper. David is a popular speaker on Modular homes and has been building Modular Homes for over a decade.

Initial Website Design
The new website is an HTML website with a flash banner and slideshow. The flash elements will not hurt the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for the website since the page has all the basic elements for success.
The site is scheduled to be completed by February 15, 2008 but we have already started building the strategies to make the launch of the site a success. Writing about the project is a great example of initial link building for the website.

Scope of Work
Once we decided on the colors and navigation structure for the modular home website, we went to work at creating a directory and page naming design that would be optimized for search.
Also, since the client was to appear for local search in each state, we will be creating a subdirectory for each state in the US with optimized pages for each locale in the target market.

Summary
The lead flow into their office should come the entire country once the site is up and properly indexed in Yahoo, Google and MSN. We'll keep you posted on the progress.
