California Mercedes Benz Dealer
The following search engine rankings were measured from Google and were last taken on September 20, 2007. The website was first published on September 3, 2007 and the initial work was completed on September 18, 2007 . In the coming months, additional search phrases will be added to the case study since this is a brand new website.
The best possible organic listing in Google is the first page of search results, Listing 1. For this table, we will call this the "Top Position". We are only showing a few of the optimized search phrases due to space limitations and to keep our larger strategy confidential.

Here is a snapshot of the lead generation website we created for Mercedes Benz of Long Beach. We created a design that was simple, clean , and without the distractions of too much visual motions. The customer experience, in our opinion, was enhanced by easy to access information. We believe the new design will encourage consumers to request information and lease quotes on thus become a good source for leads. A lead source that they own.
Note: In December 2007, we we asked to change the name of the microsite URL from www.mercedescalifornia.com to www.mercedesbenzdealerlongbeach.com due to new marketing guidelines set out by Mercedes Benz. The new rules indicate that Mercedes Benz dealers can not have URL names that are not their official business name and also the URL names can not contain Mercedes model numbers.
So for example, a Mercedes Benz dealer in California can not have a website hosted at "mercedesC300orangecounty.com"
The changing of the URL will set back organic search results a bit, so when we get back on track, I will update the case study.

Long Beach Mercedes Benz is a proud member of the Shelly Group founded by Damon Shelly. The Shelly Group owns a number of luxury car dealerships in California including Irvine BMW, Irvine Mini and Infiniti of Santa Monica.
Initial Website Analysis
Long Beach Mercedes Benz had an existing website that was primarily flash-based and in our opinion difficulty to navigate. The flash design did not incorporate best practices for search engine marketing. Their website was not ranking well in organic search for key Mercedes Benz search phrases in Southern California

Scope of Work
We were asked to create a new HTML lead generation website that would be optimized for search terms surrounding MBZ cars.
The premise is that since their Dealerskins website was not showing up in organic search, and HTML optimized should bring in leads organically.
The case was made that owning their own lead generation website as compared to purchasing outside leads would more cost effective. Also, a lead generation website can be customized to attract the leads they wanted to collect.
Summary
Although the site is only a month old at the time of this writing, we are very pleased with the initial feedback and rankings and the real results will come in the next 2-3 months.
This project clearly demonstrates the organic result engine results can start in a soon as one month after a site is published. This of course is based on the other proprietary steps we take when building a site design for search engine marketing. All new website are NOT created equal.
