Did you Get an Email from Peter?

If you have been getting unsolicited emails from Best Web Outsourcing from India, you are not alone.  The first email I got from "Peter" actually look real.  He stated that he tried to call me and actually included my phone number in the email. 

However when the second and third email came addressed from "Peter" with different phone numbers that were scraped from my websites, I knew I had another aggressive India web company on the loose.

Peter was really calling me, he was spamming me.

Their email goes like this:

"Hope you are fine. Yesterday, I tried calling your number (717) 898-9800 but you were unavailable so thought to email you. I am web designer/programmer working at the rate of USD 12/hour or a fixed cost - project basis as well. Now, I am looking for some work and it would be great if you can take a look at some of my examples done below & let me know your thoughts:"

Which then lists links to various websites that they completed. 

 Well Peter, I am not fine.

To send an email to market your business by researching potential clients is perfectly fine.  Sending out multiple emails generated by some program is not.

What it looks like is that Best Web Outsourcing either purchased a bulk mailing list or is scraping phone numbers and email addresses from the web.

Both methods suck and are unprofessional.  Not all web companies based in India have low standards like Best Web Outsourcing.  This one has just decided that by offering a low price and sending out bulk emails they will build their business.

 

Best Web Outsourcing Marketing Ethics

 

If this is what Best Web Outsourcing does for their own business what would they do to yours?  If they are lying about calling me, which my phone log shows that they did NOT call, what would they lie to you about?
